Body of naked woman found in Tempe street

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Tempe Police were on the scene of a homicide early Saturday morning in the area of McClintock Drive and Baseline Road.

Police say they responded to the 1900 block of East Minton Drive at around 4:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found the naked body of a woman.

The woman is in her 20s and appears to be a Hispanic or Native American woman. She had obvious signs of trauma to her body, but police are not saying what type of trauma there is.

Police have not identified the woman and there is no suspect information.

On Saturday evening, investigators released a composite sketch of the female victim. They are looking for assistance from the public. Anyone with information about the victim or the events surrounding her death are asked to contact the Tempe Police Department.

Tempe police will continue to investigate and release more information when it becomes available.

As of Monday night the victim was still unidentified. Police have received several tips, but they have not assisted in identifying the woman.

Police have released a more complete description:
-Native American or Hispanic female
-15 - 19 years old
-4'10" - 5'00"
-110 - 120 pounds
-Short brown/auburn colored hair
-no tattoos
-Scar on the outside of right wrist
-Surgical type scar on her throat
-Braces on teeth
-Turquoise stud earrings
-Small diamond stud nose ring in right nostril
