PHOENIX -- Several bikers are trading in their leather jackets for a red Santa suit.

“It's just been a great deal," said Brett "Solid" Lloyd, a member of the Hooligans Motorcycle Club. "We received quite a few toys last year and expect to do quite a bit better this year."

This is the second year these iron horse riders have teamed up with Andrea's Closet to collect toys for kids spending the holidays in a hospital.

Andrea's Closet, named after an 8-year-old cancer patient, is a nonprofit organization in Peoria that comforts hospitalized children by giving them toys.

“Andrea's Closet is just a fabulous organization, getting toys and stuff out to the hospitals for the kids,” Lloyd said.

This year, the bikers are delivering the toys to patients at the Arizona Children's Center at Maricopa Medical Center.

“The great thing about the toys here is that this is not just for Christmas, but these toys are used year-round in the hospital for kids after the procedures,” said Arizona Children's Center Child Life Coordinator Kyla Mohney.
