PHOENIX -- State health officials say they now expect to get
slightly more flu vaccine in initial shipments due sometime next
week.

The Arizona Department of Health Services says it is placing
orders for the first batch of the new swine flu vaccine on
Wednesday with the federal Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention.

Officials expected to receive slightly more than 60,000 doses of
the flu vaccine mist, but said Wednesday they now expect about
70,000 doses in that first batch.

County health departments will decide how the first doses are
distributed. In Maricopa County, they'll go to health workers only.
In Coconino County, they'll go to pediatricians' offices and
hospitals.

The first huge allotment of injectable vaccine, between 800,000
and 1 million doses, should be here by the end of October.
