PHOENIX -- With the exception of the breezy conditions we’re seeing around Arizona on Thursday afternoon, you’d be hard pressed to know there’s a cold front draped across Northern Arizona.
It’s the tail end of a system that is going to have a bigger impact to the east of us. We’re just going to see some isolated showers in the high country and cooler temperatures for the weekend.
In the Valley Thursday, afternoon temperatures were running in the mid 80s, and the peak winds were less than 20 miles per hour.
In Northern Arizona, Cottonwood has had a wind gust of 30 miles per hour.
By the weekend, high temperatures around metro Phoenix will be in the mid-to-upper 70s. That’s about average for this time of year.
