PHOENIX -- After a chilly start to Saturday morning, afternoon highs across the Valley rebounded to the low 90s, and it looks like they’re here to stay for a while.
This morning’s low in Phoenix bottomed out at 63, while other Valley communities saw lows in the upper 50s. The afternoon high in Phoenix topped out at 92, which was warmer than Friday’s 87.
Westerly flow will dominate the state through at least midweek, keeping Valley morning lows in the 60s, with highs in the mid to upper 90s. The seasonal average for this time of year in Phoenix is 96. Winds will be light and sunshine will be plentiful.
A storm system that will move across the Pacific Northwest towards the end of the week may kick off a cooling trend. We could also see some gusty winds return to the state Thursday and Friday, but should stay rain-free.
