PHOENIX – Southbound Interstate 17 will be narrowed to one lane Tuesday night and early Wednesday for bridge work near Black Canyon City.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says southbound I-17 will be limited to one lane from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday for work on a new bridge over Little Squaw Creek.

The lane restriction was rescheduled from Monday night to Tuesday night due to weather conditions.

The lane restriction will provide a safe work zone as crews continue work to construct the bridge. The speed limit through the work zone will be reduced to 10 mph and drivers should be prepared for delays up to 30 minutes. Vehicles will be limited to a maximum width of 10 feet. Officers and flaggers will be on site to direct traffic through the work zone.

Highway conditions across Arizona are available via ADOT's Travel Information site is available at www.az511.gov or by calling 5-1-1 inside Arizona.
