PHOENIX -- Drivers can expect only limited restrictions along Valley freeways this weekend.
Improvement work will close the southbound Loop 101 ramp to eastbound US 60 in Tempe. Utility crews also will complete overhead power line relocation work along State Route 51 in northeast Phoenix on Sunday morning, which will require short closures.
ADOT recommends drivers allow extra time and consider alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:
• Southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) ramp to eastbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) closed from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (July 16) for guardrail work. DETOUR: Southbound Loop 101 traffic can reach eastbound US 60 by exiting at Guadalupe Road, turning at the interchange to enter northbound Loop 101 and then using ramp to eastbound US 60.
• State Route 51 (Piestewa Freeway) closed intermittently in both directions in areas between 32nd Street and Greenway Road from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday (July 15) for overhead power line relocation. Delays of up to 15 minutes possible during three traffic breaks. DETOUR: Consider using an alternate route, including 32nd Street.
