PHOENIX -- Over the next three weeks, work on Loop 303 in the North Valley will require brief closures of Lake Pleasant Parkway between Happy Valley Parkway and Carefree Highway every Monday and Wednesday afternoon.
The closures will start at approximately 3:30 p.m. each Monday and Wednesday on Lake Pleasant Parkway and are expected to last no more than 20 minutes. The Arizona Department of Transportation says the temporary closures are in conjunction with a sewer line relocation that is part of the Loop 303 project.
The Loop 303 work zone along Lake Pleasant Parkway is approximately four miles north of Happy Valley Parkway. Crews will complete their work as quickly as possible in order to safely reopen the roadway.
New segments of Loop 303 between Happy Valley Parkway and Interstate 17 are scheduled to open to traffic in 2012, completing an interim roadway from I-10 to I-17.
