Weekend freeway closures and restrictions for Loop 101, 202, 303

Before you head out this weekend, make a note of these weekend construction projects on the Loop 101, 202 and 303 from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT):

*Northbound Loop 101 closed between Peoria and Grand/91st Avenues from 10 p.m. Friday (April 25th) to noon Saturday (April 26th) for traffic-technology project. Northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Olive and Peoria Avenues also closed, starting at 9 p.m. Friday. DETOUR: Northbound freeway traffic can detour along 91st or 99th Avenues.

*Southbound Loop 101 closed between Grand and Peoria Avenues from 10 p.m. Saturday (April 26th) to noon Sunday (April 27) for traffic-technology project. Southbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Grand Avenue and Thunderbird Road also closed, starting at 9 p.m. Saturday (April 26th). DETOUR: Southbound freeway traffic can detour along 91st or 99th avenues.

*Southbound Loop 303 closed between Peoria Avenue and Bethany Home Road from 3 a.m. Sunday (April 27th) to 5 a.m. Monday (April 28) for rubberized-asphalt paving. DETOUR: Southbound Loop 303 traffic can detour along Sarival Avenue. Southbound Loop 303 on-ramps at Northern Parkway and Northern Avenue closed starting at 5 a.m. Friday (April 25th) for rubberized-asphalt paving. On-ramp at Northern Parkway will open by 5 p.m. Monday (April 28). On-ramp at Northern Avenue will remain closed until May 3.

*Eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) narrowed to one lane between Power and Hawes Roads in Mesa from 9 p.m. Friday (April 25th) to 9 p.m. Saturday (April 26) for bridge work and traffic-flow-sensor installation at future State Route 24 interchange. DETOUR: Please allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and merge safely in work zone.
