Before you head out onto Valley roadways this weekend, you will want to make a note of these construction projects from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).  The agency’s weekend travel advisory affects West Valley motorist, including those of you drive on the Loop 303 between Bethany Home Road and Camelback Road, and on Grand Avenue.

• Southbound Loop 303 will be closed overnight between Bethany Home and Camelback Roads from 9 p.m. Sunday to 4 a.m. Monday (March 25). Crews will be conducting work related to the Loop 303 improvement project. DETOUR: Drivers can use Cotton Lane to Indian School Road while the restriction is in place.

• Southeast-bound Grand Avenue (US 60) will be down narrowed to one lane at Myrtle Avenue from 10 a.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (March 25) for road repairs. This is just north and west of the Downtown Glendale intersection at Grand Avenue and 59th Avenue.  Repair work may require a full closure at times over the weekend. DETOUR: Drivers traveling in this area should consider alternate routes, including eastbound Northern Avenue and southbound 59th Avenue. Please allow extra travel time, use caution and watch for highway crews and equipment in work zone.
