Loop 303 closed between Glendale Avenue and Cactus Road for traffic switch
PHOENIX — A section of Loop 303 in the West Valley will be closed this weekend while crews work to switch traffic from a construction bypass route to new freeway lanes north of Glendale Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, consider alternate routes and allow extra travel time while the following freeway restrictions are in place this weekend:
•Loop 303 closed between Glendale Avenue and Cactus Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 16) for work to allow crews to switch traffic to new freeway lanes. DETOUR: Consider using Sarival Avenue as the north-south route in the area. Glendale Avenue and Cactus Road will remain open at the Loop 303.
•Southbound Loop 101 ramp to westbound Interstate 10 in the West Valley closed from 11 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 14), from 11 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 15) and from 11 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 16) for maintenance work. DETOUR: Southbound Loop 101 traffic can reach westbound I-10 by exiting to westbound McDowell Road and using southbound 99th Avenue.
