Eastbound Loop 202 closed Saturday morning near I-10/SR 51 interchange
Loop 101 closed at times in Chandler
PHOENIX - A stretch of eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) near the Interstate 10 'Mini-Stack' interchange in Phoenix will be closed Saturday morning for pavement repair work, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Part of Loop 101 (Price Freeway) in Chandler also will be closed at times for pedestrian bridge work. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes while the following Phoenix-area freeway restrictions are in place:
•Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) closed between the I-10/State Route 51 'Mini-Stack' interchange and 44th Street from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 19) for pavement repairs. All ramps from I-10 and southbound SR 51 to eastbound Loop 202 also closed. Eastbound Loop 202 on-ramps at 24th and 32nd streets closed. DETOUR: Please plan ahead and use alternate routes, including eastbound I-10, to travel to the East Valley on Saturday morning.
•Loop 303 closed in both directions between Peoria Avenue and Camelback Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Oct. 21) for work to switch traffic within freeway-widening construction zone. Glendale Avenue and Bethany Home Road also closed between Sarival Avenue and Cotton Lane. Southbound Loop 303 on-ramp at Cactus Road closed. DETOUR: Consider using Cotton Lane as alternate north-south route.
•Southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) closed between Ray Road and Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) in Chandler from 11 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 19) for pedestrian bridge work. Northbound Loop 101 closed between Loop 202 and Ray Rd from 11 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 20) for pedestrian bridge work. DETOUR: Traffic will use freeway frontage roads during closures.
•Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) off-ramp at Hawes Road in Mesa closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Oct. 21) for barrier installation. Eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Hawes Road closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 19) for work on future State Route 24 interchange. DETOUR: Consider using adjacent off-ramps at Power or Elliot roads.
