Southbound SR 143 closed near I-10
PHOENIX – A short stretch of southbound State Route 143 (Hohokam Expressway) approaching Interstate 10 will be closed this weekend (June 21-24) for utility work, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternate routes while the southbound closure is in place.
• Southbound State Route 143 closed between University Drive and Interstate 10 near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (June 24) for pipeline work. DETOUR: Please consider alternate routes, including eastbound Loop 202 and southbound Loop 101, to reach East Valley destinations. Southbound SR 143 drivers exiting at University Drive can use southbound 40th or 52nd streets to access Interstate 10.
