I-10 East narrowed Friday night in Goodyear
Santan Freeway lanes restricted Saturday night near Power Road in Mesa
PHOENIX -- Improvement work will require lane restrictions along a few stretches of Phoenix-area freeways this weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:
- Eastbound Interstate 10 narrowed to one lane overnight between Perryville and Citrus roads from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday (July 12) for lane striping. Work is related to opening of new eastbound I-10 ramp to northbound Loop 303 by Saturday afternoon. Other ramps at new I-10/Loop 303 interchange in Goodyear will open in September. DETOUR: Please allow extra travel time and be prepared to merge safely in work zone during overnight restriction.
- Eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) narrowed to one lane overnight between Power and Elliot roads in Mesa from 9 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday (July 13) for lane striping. Westbound Loop 202 then narrowed to one lane between Elliot and Power roads from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday (July 13) for lane striping. DETOUR: Please be prepared to slow down and merge safely in work zone.
- Sarival Avenue closed in both directions between Interstate 10 and McDowell Road in Goodyear from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday (July 13) for construction work. Eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Sarival Avenue will remain open for northbound traffic. DETOUR: Please consider using Estrella Parkway as alternate north-south route.
- Southbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) on-ramp at Grand Avenue closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday (July 12) for traffic-flow equipment installation. DETOUR: Please consider using southbound 91st or 99th avenues to Peoria Avenue to access southbound Loop 101 during overnight ramp closure.
