Before you head out this weekend, make a note of these weekend freeway construction projects. That way you can avoid the traffic tie-ups.
*Northbound Loop 101 narrowed to one lane between Indian School and Camelback roads in Glendale from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday (March 26) and from 9 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday (March 28) for HOV lane construction.
*Westbound Loop 101 narrowed to one lane near 35th Avenue in north Phoenix from 9 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday (March 26) for HOV lane construction.
*35th Avenue closed in both directions at Loop 101 in north Phoenix from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (March 28) for bridge work. DETOUR: Traffic will use marked detours on nearby local streets.
*Gilbert Road narrowed one lane in each direction at US 60 in Mesa from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Sunday (March 27) for rubberized asphalt paving. US 60 on- and off-ramps at Gilbert Road closed intermittently for paving work. DETOUR: Please consider alternate routes, including Stapley and Val Vista drives.
*Southbound Price Road closed between Frye Road and Loop 202 in Chandler from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (March 26) for HOV lane bridge work. Southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Price Road closed. Eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Price Road closed. DETOUR: Traffic will detour on other local streets, including southbound Dobson Road.
*Eastbound Loop 202 ramp to northbound Loop 101 in Chandler closed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (March 26) for HOV lane bridge work. DETOUR: Eastbound Loop 202 traffic can exit at Price Road and go north to access northbound Loop 101 on-ramps.
