SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. -- Cochise County Sheriff's Office personnel said Highway 92 has reopened at Miller Canyon. The roadway was closed for a short time Wednesday afternoon due to heavy rain in the area.
The washes in the canyon area were filled and the water crossed over the highway, making it unsafe for vehicles to travel.
According to the sheriff's office, the water is rapidly receding and there are no road closures at this time.
Sheriff Larry Dever reminds everyone living in the area to be prepared for any additional flooding from monsoon rains by evaluating your property for any safety precautions that can be taken. He said to always have an evacuation plan in place for each member of your family to follow.
