PHOENIX (AP) -- Authorities are trying to find the drivers of a semi-truck and a car that hit and killed a motorcyclist who had crashed in the middle of a Phoenix-area freeway.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the motorcycle was entering the southbound Loop 101 freeway at Northern Avenue in Glendale late Tuesday when the rider lost control.
The rider was thrown off the motorcycle and ended up in the middle lane of the freeway. That's when a semi-truck hit the rider, but didn't stop.
Witnesses told the highway patrol that a teal-colored car went around slowed traffic and hit the rider again. That driver also didn't stop.
The unidentified rider died at the scene.
