Cleveland, OH - City Councilman Zach Reed, of Ward 3, was arraigned Monday morning on charges of DUI and a seatbelt violation.

Reed was not physically in court this morning because he was in a rehab facility. Reed's attorney pleaded not guilty on his behalf.

The Councilman's next court date is set for a December 18th pre-trial. All Cleveland Municipal Court Judges have recused themselves from this case..

The city now needs to get a visiting judge from the Ohio Supreme Court.

Reed was arrested for alleged drunken driving last Wednesday - if convicted this will be his second DUI offense.

19 Action News has exclusive video of Councilman Reed from previous law violations along with his most recent arrest.

The Councilman was found slumped over the wheel of his BMW at E.139th Street and Kinsman. Neighbors spotted him and alerted police.

Reed is charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and not having a seatbelt on.

Reed is currently out on a one-thousand dollar bond at ten percent and in rehab.
