Recipes that can help chronic inflammation

Do you suffer from chronic inflammation? Here are a couple recipes that can help you manage.

Aine's Bali Banger

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chopped fresh turmeric

  • 2-inch piece ginger chopped, 

  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste 

  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns

  • Juice of 4 or 5 limes

  • Honey (to taste)

Optional: Lemongrass, kefir lime leaves, mint to garnish

Directions:

Put everything except lime juice into pot with about 12 cups water and honey to sweeten to taste. Simmer for approximately 20 minutes. Strain and then add the juice of four or five limes.

Chef Dr. Mike's 1.2.3. Hollandaise

Ingredients

  • 1 stick (4 ounces) organic, high-quality butter 
  • 2 teaspoons ginger powder 
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons fresh chopped thyme or other herbs
  • 1 teaspoons good quality dried turmeric powder
  • 1/8 teaspoons white pepper
  • ¼ teaspoons salt

Directions:

Melt the butter over low heat. Combine lemon juice, egg yolks, turmeric, salt and pepper. Add half the melted butter to the egg yolk mixture, slowly and stirring the entire time to temper the eggs. Add the egg mixture back to the pan and continue to cook until the mixture thickens. Remove from the heat, add the thyme and serve immediately.
