Truck spills 60,000 pounds of beer on Florida highway

(Meredith) – It’s was a sad sight to behold. 60,000 pounds of Busch beer was wasted after a truck crashed on a Florida highway early Wednesday morning.

According to WEAR, the accident occurred after the truck driver failed to maintain his lane, flipping the tractor-trailer on its side. The spill happened in Okaloosa County.

A semi carrying Busch beer spilled its cargo after a wreck on I-10 Westbound at the Holt Exit (exit 45). Thankfully only minor injuries which were treated on scene but the beer didn't fare so well. -Okaloosa County Sheriff Office’s Facebook Page

The driver sustained minor injuries and was given a citation, WEAR reported.
