(Meredith) -- Popular clothing retailer, H&M is being called out for an ad featuring a sweatshirt with some questionable words printed on the front. The ad features a black boy model wearing a green hoodie that reads, "coolest monkey in the jungle".

The ad sparked some significant backlash on Twitter with many promising to stop shopping at their stores. H&M apologized for the ad in an email to CBS, saying,

"We sincerely apologize for this image. It has been now removed from all online channels and the product will not be for sale in the United States. We believe in diversity and inclusion in all that we do, and will be reviewing our internal routines."
