(Meredith/CBS46) – A Georgia man said a grocery store clerk inspired him to pay it forward after he witnessed her help a customer in need.
The man said in a Facebook post that he visited a Publix in Fairburn last week and noticed a customer struggling to buy groceries at the checkout line.
When Sierra Johnson, the cashier, realized the customer didn’t have enough money to pay the bill, she reportedly whipped out her debit card to cover the cost.
“She didn’t have to help out, but without hesitation, she went in her purse and paid the bill,” the witness said.
He also said the kind act inspired him to chip in on a stranger’s bill at a Walmart the following day.
Johnson shared the Facebook post, saying “I feel great knowing that I did something good. Blessings go up and they do come down.”
