Police say 44-year-old Sabrina Gillis was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle.

According to Phoenix PD, the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Union Hills Drive in the intersection when it collided with a small passenger car that was traveling eastbound and turning left.

Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle and neither were wearing helmets, police said. No one in the passenger car was injured. Police say no impairment is suspected and speed does not appear to be a factor.
