Phoenix police investigating homicide after man found near train tracks

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

A homicide investigation is underway after Phoenix police found an unresponsive man near some train tracks Thursday afternoon.

According to Phoenix police, officers responded to a call near 33rd Avenue and Harrison Street around 12:00 p.m.

They discovered an approximately 25-year-old unresponsive man, who was later declared deceased.

Due to suspicious circumstances, police are investigating this as a homicide.

Phoenix police said the cause of death will ultimately be determined by the medical examiner's office.
