Egg cartons aren't just for storing your eggs. There are tons of other things you can do with them.

All week, 3TV’s Tess Rafols is sharing her tips for making your home more organized and she says egg cartons make great containers for sorting and storing.

You can use the bottom part of an egg carton to separate small toys like Legos or Barbie accessories.

They make great storage cases for earrings. Keep a set in each egg compartment to easily find a pair earrings.

For the garage, the egg carton can be used to separate and store screws, nuts and bolts.

The tops of egg carton make for great drawer dividers. Why spend money on containers to hold kitchen utensils when you can repurpose the egg carton lid? They can also be used in the bathroom for hair accessories.

One of Tess’ favorite uses for the bottom of egg cartons is to use them as a paint palette. Keeps things clean and no mess afterward because you can just throw the carton out afterward.

The paper egg cartons are also biodegradable. So they make for perfect seed starters. Just fill up the carton with soil, plant your seeds and once they germinate, you can cut up each bottom and plant directly into the ground.

So, the next time you are about to throw out an egg carton, think again. There are endless ways to repurpose them.
