PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

Foodies, get ready to dig in. Arizona Restaurant Week starts on Friday, September 15.

That's when 180 Arizona restaurants will be slashing their prices for ten days, giving you a chance to try new, local foods at a discount.

That's also when Sous Chef Nick Hillary, Rusconi's American Kitchen at Tatum and Shea, gets to show off.

"So this is going to be our burrata and fig salad," he says, displaying one of the three course meals Rusconi's has prepared for Arizona Restaurant Week. "We have a beautiful prime flat iron steak from Harris Ranch, and then our famous bread pudding."

A meal like this might cost you about 70 dollars on a normal night, but during restaurant week, you could get this for a fraction of the price.

"Its a great meal, 44 bucks," said Hillary.

Coruscation's is one of 180 restaurants offering select 33 and 44 dollar meals (unless noted: excluding beverages, tax and gratuity) for the next ten days, starting Friday.

"A lot of guests will come out to us and they're like 'Oh yeah we were just over at this restaurant ,and we were just at this restaurant,'" said Hillary. "It allows people to go out to more than one place in a week when normally they may not have the budget to do that."

New this year, there are some freebies you can win.

Starting Friday, if you keep an eye on the Arizona Restaurant Week Facebook page, you'll have a chance to enter a drawing for ten different prizes like free beer and coffee tastings for you and nine friends.

Bringing together those who love to make food, and those who love to eat it.

"Amazing food at a great price, and people don't see that a lot anymore for the type of food that we're doing," said Hillary.
