Signs pop up calling for resignation of Phoenix police chief

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

Several signs have been spotted around Phoenix calling for the resignation of Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams. They have been seen hanging from freeway overpasses around town.

One was spotted over the I-10 and 16th Street and another was seen along the S.R. 51.

Williams is the first woman to be chief of police in the Phoenix Police Department's history. She has held the position since October 2016.

Before coming to Phoenix, Williams was chief of police with the Oxnard Police Department in Oxnard, California.
