FLAGSTAFF, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

The Flagstaff Police Department said its 911 system is back to normal after saying it was having problems.

The department said on Tuesday night "many 911 lines" in the city and around the state were down.

Officers said Century Link told them around 7 p.m. that a fiber line had been cut.

That meant 911 callers in certain areas hadn't been able to get to various dispatch centers in Arizona.

Century Link then restored the lines around 9 p.m.
