A 3-year-old boy pulled from a pool in north Phoenix Saturday afternoon has died.

According to Phoenix FD, the boy was found in the backyard pool by his grandparents at a home near Tatum Boulevard and Union Hills Drive at around 1 p.m.

Fire crews said the boy was in full cardiac arrest when they arrived. He was taken to the hospital but did not survive.

A neighbor says there was no fence or pool barrier.
