Dust, wind, lightning seen around the Valley

The monsoon tried to make an appearance a little early on Thursday evening but many spots in the Valley are still looking for rain.

A small wall of dust made its way from the far East Valley, swallowing up cars on the U.S. 60 near Power Road.

There was zero visibility in some spots with wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour.

The dust dissipated by the time it made it to downtown Phoenix.

Impressive lightning strikes were seen in the sky.
