On Saturday, Sept. 9, Maricopa County Public Health and Metrocenter Mall are teaming up to host a free emergency preparedness expo.

Being prepared is important for not only large emergencies but small ones, as well.

More than 20 agencies will be featured at this year’s event.

Knowing CPR, getting vaccinated, first aid and caring for pets in a disaster are just a few of the many topics that will be touched on.

People who attend the expo will also have the opportunity to get free first-aid kits, bike helmets, car seats and uninsured adults can get a free flu shot.
