Tempe police officers are asking the public for help finding two men who robbed employees in an Apple Xchange store.

The armed robbery happened Thursday on Southern and McClintock.

Store owner, Alan Chook and his employees were shaken up by the ordeal.

No customers were inside at the time of the robbery. Nobody was seriously hurt.

Chook said two men entered the store. One went to the back while the other stole 12 refurbished Apple laptops valued at about $15,000.

Video surveillance showed the suspect in the back pepper spraying at least one employee and shoving Chook into a room.

" All of us were exposed to pepper spray," said Chook.

"I came out to see what was going on and I saw the guy that was in the back running forward and he came right at me so I stood up to try to defend myself at that point and see if there was anything I could do," said Chook.

The entire incident was caught on at least four different surveillance cameras.

"It’s one thing to be robbed in the middle of the night where we’re not here. It’s another level when someone comes in and actually assaults us. I think we’re all a bit shaken from it, absolutely," said Chook.

The robbers waited in their car, which they had backed into a parking space right in front of the store, for several minutes.

Apparently well-prepared, they wasted no time once they were ready to go. The men were in and out of the store in about a minute.

Both suspects are described as heavy set black males, approximately 6’2”, approximately 300 pounds and they are likely 25 to 30 years old.

One man was wearing a green shirt and the other was wearing a light-colored shirt.

The suspects each walked out with Apple computers and left together in a light silver crossover SUV.

If you know who these men are you are asked to contact Tempe police at 480-350-8311.

Chook decided to close for the store for the day. He plans to reopen tomorrow.
