Phoenix firefighters continue to provide aid in Texas

The Arizona Task Force 1 (AZ-TF1) division of the Phoenix Fire Department is still in Houston to help with Hurricane Harvey relief.

According to their Facebook page, they have assisted other FEMA task force teams with boat operations, search and rescue and going door to door in communities to determine their needs.

The group of 80 firefighters left for Houston on Saturday Aug. 26 and have provided updates to their work on their Facebook page.

AZ-TF1 will be continuing their efforts in Texas. According to the AZ-TF1 website, their mission is to maintain preparedness for deployment and response to Urban Search and Rescue environments on both a local and national level.

They save lives by developing, maintaining, deploying, coordinating and supporting Urban Search and Rescue resources.
