PEORIA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

Maricopa County Sheriff spokesman Sgt Calbert Gillett said their deputies were called to a home near 89th Avenue and Deer Valley Road after getting a 911 call from the area.

Arriving deputies searched for someone in distress and as they looked around the home they found a man sleeping in the garage.

He was sleeping right next to 22 marijuana plants in what appeared to be a grow operation, said Gillett.

Deputies arrested 36-year-old Duane Bearden after he admitted to having the pot plants.  Investigators also found 105 grams of heroin and 350 grams of methamphetamine.

Bearden is being charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, selling of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs and weapon misconduct.

Deputies also found two other men on the property and questioned them, they were not arrested, said Gillett.
