Hiker rescued from Camelback after feeling ill

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

A hiker was rescued from a hiking trail on Camelback Mountain after becoming dehydrated Sunday afternoon.

Phoenix Fire Captain Jake Van Hook said around 2 P.M. the man became ill and fell down as he was making his way down the Echo Canyon trail.

They were hiking together near a section of the trail called, "the Suger Cube."

Van Hook says both the man and his son are vistors from Indiana.

He was taken to a hospital after being helped off the trail.
