PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

A home is destroyed after a fire ripped through the South Phoenix neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

Phoenix Fire Captain Jake Van Hook said their units were called to the single-story home on South 38th Way, northwest of Ray Road and Interstate 10 around 1 p.m.

"The fast-moving fire in the home was traveling up to the attic," Van Hook said. "Within 6 minutes of arriving on [the] scene the fire had burnt through the roof."

No one was found in the home. There were no reported injuries.
