TUCSON, AZ (AP) -

A personal driver is facing a prison sentence after being convicted of stealing $18,000 from a 92-year-old Tucson woman.

State prosecutors say Marisela Navarro was hired as a personal driver for the woman in March 2011.

The elderly victim lived alone and needed assistance getting to and from the grocery store and doctor appointments.

Prosecutors say Navarro was accused of writing a large number of checks from the victim's bank account and cashing them out for herself.

A Pima County Superior Court jury found Navarro guilty of 11 felony counts including one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices, two counts of theft and eight counts of forgery.

Prosecutors say Navarro is facing a minimum of three years in prison up to a 60-year term when she's sentenced on April 4.
