Want some royal creds on your resume? Kate Middleton is hiringPosted: Updated:
It appears it's hard to find good help these days, even when you're a royal.
Kate Middleton's private secretary is stepping down after a decade on the job.
That means the Duchess of Cambridge will be looking for someone new to schedule her events and organize her engagements.
A statement from Kensington Palace reads:
"After a decade of service to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, Rebecca Deacon will be stepping down as private secretary to the Duchess of Cambridge. She plans to leave the household in the summer. Their Royal Highnesses are incredibly grateful for all the hard work and support Rebecca has provided over the past ten years, and wish her well in the next phase of her career."
So what would the job entail?
According to Vogue, Deacon's previous responsibilities included preparing Kate for public engagements and meetings, responding to letters, and issuing official statements.
Those who have binge-watched "The Crown" may find themselves interested in becoming part of the royal family's inner circle.
But be warned that three longtime employees are reportedly already in the running for the position. The contenders are Sophie Agnew, who currently works for Deacon; Natasha Archer, Middleton’s personal assistant; and Laura Baker, Prince William’s assistant private secretary.
And chances are, considering Deacon’s own lengthy experience before stepping into the role, they may once again look to hire from within.

There's also another website that lists all the details of what is expected from royal employees. That royal household page states:
"With the Royal Household, everyday jobs become exceptional. This is because, whatever their role and whichever department they’re in, our people are part of something remarkable. They provide invaluable support to the Royal Family - enabling them to fulfill their duties and serve the nation. And, working in magnificent and historic surroundings, they’re inspired to deliver to a higher standard."
