Phoenix fire rescuers were able to assist a pair of hikers off of a precarious perch on Camelback mountain this morning.
Phoenix fire spokesman Jake Van Hook said the hikers got off the Echo Canyon Trail trail around 10 A.M. on Camelback Mountain.
They got off trail at some point and, "into a position where they feared falling from an elevated position," said Van Hook.
Crews sere able to reach the pair with a hi-angle rescue operation to get them to safety, said Van Hook.
Once back on the trail the hikers walked to the parking lot on their own. The hikers are visitors to the valley from Oklahoma.
