CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

The United States Secret Service is investigating threats made on Twitter against President Donald Trump that may have come from someone in Chandler, Arizona, Chandler Police officials said on Tuesday.

A spokesman for the Chandler Police Dept. said Chandler police contacted the Secret Service after receiving several reports of John Silva (@JohnnyKing663) posting menacing photographs and statements on social media.

Among the posts are references to killing the president and vice president, Mike Pence.

The user's headline photo on Twitter is a picture of someone bearing a close resemblance to Trump who is lying on the ground with a bullet wound to the head and a bloodstained shirt.

The posts started in late February with a tweet, "#killtrump Doing it tonight!!!!"

Another Twitter post includes a picture of two rifles and the statement, "#AssassinateTrump. Just Got me a new JP LRP-07 Long Range Precision sniper rifle off Darknet. She's beautiful."

The latest Twitter post was yesterday when the Twitter user said, "With the color of @realDonaldTrump and @VP blood staining the concrete. Y'ALL READY!?!?! It's coming soon."

The user also claimed on Twitter that he lives in Chandler and was at Chandler-Gilbert Community College five days ago, leading people to report the threats to Chandler police.

According to the department, the Secret Service was already aware of the incident and are investigating.
