PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

Police suspect impairment may have been a factor when a pickup truck driver crashed into a pool in Phoenix on Monday night.

It happened near 19th Avenue and Northern Avenue just before 7 p.m.

Firefighters said the driver was able to get out of the truck safely and wasn't hurt.

The video shows officers doing a field sobriety test on the man. He was put in handcuffs and placed in a patrol car.

It appears the pickup truck was a work truck. It said Arizona Traffic Signal on the side of it. The company fixes streetlights, among other projects.

Police haven't said what led up to the crash.
