PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

A Valley dog who is paralyzed from the waist down is looking to be adopted.

Angel was fitted with a homemade wheelchair thanks to the Arizona Humane Society.

Veterinarians treated the 2-year-old German shepherd after he was found abandoned near Canyon Lake.

"He gets around great now that he has his wheels. Before he was pretty adapted to living with his deformity, but now he really acts like a normal dog. He runs around and plays, explores like he's wanted to do. He's very happy, energetic and curious little young dog," Faye Daniel with the Arizona Humane Society said.

The organization is waiving his adoption fee for the right family, who will provide a loving home.
