LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

Wildlife World Zoo had to be evacuated Saturday after a bomb threat was called into the facility.

The zoo's Director of Media, Kristy Morcom, confirmed that the threat was called into Dillon's restaurant, which is a barbecue eatery beside the shark tank inside the aquarium.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office came out to investigate the call. No active threat was found.

The zoo was closed for the rest of the day Saturday but will reopen Sunday as usual.

Wildlife World Zoo is located near the 303 and Northern in Litchfield Park.

Apparently, the person who called the zoo may have made other calls. MCSO  deputies say a man called 911, MCSO, Silent Witness and a TV station saying he was behind the threat. He said he is unhappy with the animals being kept in captivity.

MCSO will continue to investigate to find out who was behind the threat.
