PHOENIX (AP) -
The state Board of Regents says it will likely pick a new president for the University of Arizona in less than two weeks.
Regents have identified Dr. Sethuraman "Panch" Panchanathan and Dr. Robert Clayton Robbins as the two finalists for the job.
Panchanathan is the executive vice president and chief research and innovation officer of Arizona State University's Knowledge Enterprise Development while Robbins is president and chief executive officer of Texas Medical Center.
Board officials say they anticipate making the final decision during a special meeting on March 13.
UA President Ann Weaver Hart is serving out the remainder of her contract that expires in June 2018.
Hart became the university's 21st president in 2012 and says she'll remain at the helm until a replacement is named.
