GOLD CANYON, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

Dozens of people protested outside an event for Representative Paul Gosar, upset that he hasn't had a town hall.

The group showed up at the Best Western Motel in Gold Canyon, where they say Gosar was supposed the town hall on Thursday.

However, Gosar canceled a town hall, and instead turned it into a tele-town hall, but promised future forums.

Protesters in Arizona and across the country have demanded easier access to elected representatives to Washington and more town halls.

However, due to how rowdy some of the town halls have gotten recently, elected officials have been wary of holding town halls.

A different group of demonstrators was outside of the Westin Kierland Resort and Spar in Scottsdale, where Sen. Jeff Flake held a fundraiser.

"Instead of meeting with constituents, Sen. Flake has accepted an invitation to attend a $120 plate Unity Dinner hosted by the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association," a statement from Indivisible Surprise! said.
