PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

A vandal broke into a Valley bar this week and caused some major damage. Luckily, the whole crime was caught on video.
It happened at Ringside Pub and Grub near 20th Street and Thomas in Phoenix.

The vandal struck early Monday morning shortly after the boxing-themed bar closed. Police say a suspect walked up to the bar and started flinging rocks through the window.

"He has a rock with him; he starts breaking down the windows," says Owner Abel Hurtado. "He started at this end and finished on this other side."

The suspect also smashed the front door.

But the vandal was caught pretty clearly on security video, and Hurtado has been sharing the images on social media, hoping someone will recognize the culprit.

"It just makes you sad," said Hurtado. "I don't know why people would do that type of stuff. I mean, we don't do anything bad to others."

Hurtado says this is not the first time his bar has been targeted. Last year a thief broke in and stole a bunch a of big-screen TVs.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call police or Silent Witness.
