An out of control truck plows into a south Phoenix business, missing employees by just feet.

It was all caught on security camera.

"It was like an explosion,” recalls Planet Recycling General Manager Jeff Moen.

It took only seconds for Planet Recycling's carpet and tile showroom to be turned into a mangled mess.

"The first thing that popped into my mind was, 'What did my warehouse manager run into in the back?' And I look u,p and there's dust and a truck," said Moen.

Witnesses say the gold pickup was going at least 50 mph when it left the road, taking down a tree, hitting a stoplight control box, and plowing right into the store's front windows.

It came to rest where Moen was about to lay out his day’s work. "Another minute or two, it would have been a different story," he said.

Moen ran out of his office to help the driver.

Police say the elderly man may have been having a medical issue.

"We got him out of the truck and his first question is 'Why is this truck in here?'" said Moen.

The driver was not arrested or cited. Amazingly no one was injured.

"Had there been people in the showroom, The would have been… I can't even imagine what would happen to them," said Planet Recycling Co-owner Rachael Palopoli.

Employees are left with a lot of clean-up work, and a souvenir from the ordeal, the emblem from the pickup, left behind as it was towed away.

"I’ll put it on my shelf," said Moen.

Police say the driver's daughter took him to the hospital after the accident as a precaution.
