The victim and suspect killed in a possible murder-suicide Monday night have been identified.

Police say the victim is 33-year-old Iveth Susana Chavez, the wife. The suspect is 34-year-old Oliver Olague-Acosta, the husband.

Officers entered the home around 10 p.m. Monday and found the bodies of the couple.

Police had to break the window to get into the home and make contact with those inside.

Four children, ranging in age from 1 to 15, were inside the home near 63rd Avenue and Crown King Road, south of Lower Buckeye, officers said. One of them called 911 after hearing their mother and stepfather arguing, followed by at least one gunshot, Phoenix Police Sgt. Jonathan Howard said.

When officers entered the home, they found the kids in a closet, huddled together. Police got them safely outside, then went back in to look for the parents.

That's when police found the couple's bodies in the garage.

The children were safe and several were seen inside a crisis response van. They have now been placed with a local family.

Crime tape was strung across the street and detectives were processing the scene.
