PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

A young woman is looking for justice more than a year after her fiance was killed at a house party.

"He was just an awesome person," Denisee Reyes said.

She's talking about the man she loved, the father of her now nearly 2-year-old daughter Olivia, Rodney Denney.

He was shot and killed in late November of 2015 while he and Reyes were helping out with security at a large house party near 91st Avenue and Camelback Road.

"You know, she asks for dada all the time and the only thing I can give her is a picture, simple clothing, a shoe. I can't give her dad like she wants," Reyes said.

Reyes said despite the fact that there were lots of people around when the fatal shooting occurred in the early morning hours of Nov. 29, 2015, there have been no arrests in the case.

"Rodney doesn't have his life anymore. He doesn't get to watch his daughter grow up. That was the most important thing, making a life with me. The fact that we had started a family made him the happiest person alive," Reyes said.

But now more than a year after Denney's murder, Reyes said she fears that she and her daughter and Denney's family may never see justice and the killer may never be caught.

"He took a man from his daughter. He took a man away from his future wife. His future with his family and it disgusts me that this guy is still running around," Reyes said.
