A serious accident at 49th Avenue and Indian School may have affected power in some homes in the area.
Phoenix police say a white car slammed into a power pole just after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The injuries were said to be serious but not life-threatening.
Traffic was being diverted from the area as crews were called in to make repairs on the pole.
At the time of the collision, SRP reported that about 1,100 customers were impacted after a substation breaker was tripped.
Power was expected to be restored within about an hour.
